My small wine brand, LOTIS Wines, is a Sebastopol based and woman owned/operated winery (I do everything!) working with vineyards from unique and interesting sites around the North Coast that are farmed organically and sustainably. The philosophy of the brand is to allow vineyard expression to speak first and to simple guide the grapes to the bottle, keeping the wines pure, delicate and precise. The wines are made with minimal intervention winemaking techniques including native fermentations, no fining or filtration, and low sulfites; all made with love.
Social Justice and Environmental Restoration Statement
Working with organically and sustainably farmed vineyards that minimize inputs and keep the environment in mind first when making farming decisions. We also work with vineyards are farmed regeneratively with no till methods to regenerate native cover crops, beneficial insects and soil microbial health while minimizing soil compaction and erosion.
Eco-friendly packaging: light weight bottles, minimizing waste and extra/unneeded packaging, no capsules, recycled paper label (only use one label to reduce paper usage and waste), North American derived glass.
Supporting environmental organizations that work to keep our land, water, and air clean and our native habitats/species safe. Supporting organizations that promote the visibility and representation of marginalized communities.
