Nicoletta is part of San Donato in Bellaria wine project in Tuscany which we founded together with Stefano Gonnelli, my life partner in 2018. The wine project consists of 1 ha of indigenous varieties, mostly Sangiovese planted on dry-stone walled terraces ( UNESCO World Heritage) on a schist terroir. We follow the principles of permaculture and regenerative agriculture in our approach. The project was the only Italian finalist at the 2020 Jancis Robinson’s “sustainability heroes” competition.

She is also a partner in a small wine project in Bulgaria aimed at the recovery of two rare ancient endemic grapes: Shiroka Melnik and Keratzuda.
